Sand & Refinish

Sanding floors consist of removing the current layers of protective coatings (finish) in order to remove imperfections such as scratches and light water damage. Then we apply new layers of polyurethane or water-based finish to protect the floor and make it ready for daily use. If you are interested in changing the color of your floors sanding is necessary.

Installation

Looking to switch from Carpet to Floors, or Building a new house? Whether you have subflooring or a slab as your foundation we can install floors in your home or office and give you a complete custom floor.

Buff & Coat

By applying our buffing machines to the floor we are able to remove some of the light imperfections in floors such as light scratches, carpet glue, small to medium sized pet claw marks. After buffing we give it a few coats of polyurethane or water-based finish so that you can return to your daily lifestyle.

Gymnasiums

Working on a gym floor might be one of our favorite tasks. We'd love to talk to you about your project big or small, and talk about some of the greatest in basketball.

Repair

DESIGNS.

Ascue's Artistic Wood Floors specializes in custom stain designs on hardwood floors. Our geometric patterns include checkerboard designs, four-dimensional diamonds, starbursts, Greek borders, neo-classical motifs, and traditional Zulu designs. Our design patterns are also inspired by international travel and ideas from our clients. Layered staining is a technique that is reserved only for the most skilled craftsman.

Julius Ascue is one of few flooring masters capable of executing such intricate designs with only tape, stains, and a pencil. For an entrance design, a border, or a custom stained living room floor that's one of a kind, look no further than Ascue's Artistic Wood Floors.

INSTALLATION.

Installation and repair are the mainstays of Ascue's Artistic Wood Floors. From single room water damage repairing to full church or basketball court flooring installation, design and finishing, no job is too big or too small for us.

We install raw tongue and groove flooring, then sand and smooth before sealing. Then we finish according to customer preferences for shiny gloss finishes to soft satin finishes.

We assist in selecting the stain colors and finish that works best for the area, whether for high traffic entry areas or for baths, kitchens or with area rug decor.

WOOD SPECIES.

We locate and install all major species of wood and species that can be hard to find. Wood flooring comes in several different lengths, widths, and thicknesses. Many products used for floors today are made of materials added to wood for various effects, especially pre-finished flooring.

Wood species can be most attractively installed when 2 or more are combined for an artistic effect on floors. This effect can also be accomplished by Julius Ascue when using stains to give the appearance of a change in species.
